OUR STYLING TOOLS

We represent real people

We don't glamourise unattainable 'perfection'

We're here to represent real people and are making much needed social, ethical and sustainable change within the hair industry.

We take greater responsibility for the way in which we bring our products to market and hope to empower you to make choices you can feel good about so you can look, feel and experience your best self.

We're turning hairstyling on its head.

We're on a mission

Giving equal opportunity to all

We've been partnered with Paperworks since day dot, and through our partnership, we're able to offer training and support to young adults within our community who have autism, learning difficulties, physical and mental health-related challenges and complex needs (our Trainees).

When you shop with HUR.™ you make a sustained positive impact on some of the more vulnerable in our community.

FAQs

WHEN, AND WHY, WAS HUR LAUNCHED?

Hur styling tools were brought to market in March 2021 when salons reopened after covid. Female founded, we felt like bigger brands (in a largely male dominated and operated space) had lost touch with the new age, current generation stylist and hair care advocates.

Like no other haircare brand, hur is partnered with a local social enterprise whereby we offer work opportunity to young adults with learning difficulties, autism and complex needs.

We wanted to bring a great quality product and brand back to the market that represented real people, a brand that took greater responsibility for the way in which we do business, and a brand that was at arms-length for professionals. We're making much needed ethical, environmental and sustainable change within the haircare industry.

DO HUR.TOOLS SUIT ALL HAIR TYPES?

Hur hair styling tools are suitable for all hair types thanks to the variable temperature control. Bespoke your styling experience and select a heat best suited to your hair type, texture, condition and style. For thin, fine or fragile hair we recommend dropping the temperature right down to 120°. If you have longer, thicker, more coarse hair we'd recommend 210°-230°. Always start on the lowest heat setting and build up to a heat suited to your hair. Ask your stylist or drop us a message for temperature guidance.

WHERE IS HUR HQ BASED?

We're a UK company, based in the north of England in a place called Yorkshire.

FEMALE FOUNDED

Brought to market in 2021

"It was really important to me to create a brand that had a bigger social and environmental impact. Having a great product is no longer enough - brands must provide an experience that helps customers feel good about that interaction and empowers them to make better choices. My hope is that in helping our customers take better care of their hair by delivering a healthier styling experience, HUR. can also help make a difference in an industry that still has a long way to go when it comes to social, ethical and environmental standards."
